I think the people who don't know how to love just haven't ever been on the receiving end of it. Maybe the same for empathy. They live out of the void it created.

Sometimes, especially lately, it helps me to remember that my real parent is the Earth. It seems to bypass everything else, makes a direct connect, without overthinking, or explaining, just the truth of it.

If you grew up being told that the things you did well were you 'showing off'. You won't realize those things are really your gift to share; songs, poetry, art & physical abilities, all things that help humanity feel good about it self; how we help each other through hard times, share our moments.

I was born under an umbrella that didn't keep all the rain out, but it promised to keep trying and that promise was there in writing. We may not be perfect but we have a pathway to it. Even a bird born into a family of muskrats, knew, someday they could fly, because it was allowed.

Despite them, I will celebrate, those who are special to me, and those who are not. I will be warm and well fed and wish everyone was and when the evening's over I'll feel guilty about it.

Another energy changing totally ridiculous penalty on Monday night football. When will we see retribution for blatant momentum change calls.

The most incredible things happen when you remove yourself from them and remember how beautiful things are without the game to get in the way.

Compassion

In a world filled with cruelty, how surprised we are to find an album about compassion nominated for a Grammy Award.

The album, “Meditations”, features the Dalai Lama’s reflections on compassion, peace, and inner wellbeing.

Congratulations,

We the people, believe it is bad form, to threaten the lives of people who have reminded American soldiers not to break the law.

I'll say it again. There needs to be extreme penalties for officials who make blatant game changing calls at critical moments. they rub it in our faces and it ruins the credibility of the game. I like the Eagles. I was rooting for them. But I'm also for fair, true, above board.

Pennsylvania has an important Supreme Court race coming up on Tuesday, November 4. If you live in the Keystone State, or know someone who does, vote YES to retain three justices who will protect your fundamental rights and freedoms.

The ones they war against are just as gentle & wise as you are, enjoy the same family things, love flannel, dogs & sunsets. The only sin is where you're born. If every fallen soldier had a thought bubble full of personal info, hovering over their body, we would collapse with the pain of it.

Just my observation here. I watch college football, games I don't actually care who wins sometimes, and over and over I see officials make really questionable calls when there has been a swing in momentum. It needs to stop in order to protect footballs future and the integrity of the game.

So if the 3IAtlas comet is really a space vehicle, maybe they are coming to save some of humanity because our planet is dying. If that's the case who would they take and why? I could guess it would the children. I'm pretty certain it wouldn't be hateful racist warmongers.

The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice. Except it doesn’t bend on its own—it bends because we pull it in the direction of justice. What keeps me hopeful during times like these is being surrounded by people who are doing just that.

When folks I didn't know die, it's still devastating, maybe we're more like mushrooms or aspen trees; part of one organism. Each of us is a doorway into our interpretation what it means to be alive, so when we pass, that interpretation goes with us, & that's some of what I miss. Their doorway.
