One of Britain's most important seabird colonies home to almost half of the world's population of Manx Shearwaters.

We kicked off our events schedule this week with a fantastic few days in partnership with @officialblack2nature, with 14 young people joining us for three nights.

We're so proud of everything they learnt and for throwing themselves so enthusiastically into the events.

Monday was Skomer Pride, a wonderful celebration of the LGBTQ+ community - Skomer is proud to be a safe, accepting place for all staff, volunteers and visitors.

We champion your right to be your true self. Alongside wildlife content, our social media will always showcase this.

Happy Pride Month to all who celebrate! Everyone is welcome on Skomer - diversity and inclusion are a cornerstone of what we do.

To celebrate, we've cross-referenced our breeding bird species with birds displaying homosexual behaviour (Bagemihl, 1999) to produce a Skomer Gay Bird Checklist.
