Happy 59th birthday to BATMAN, which premiered on ABC OTD in 1966 with guest villain the Riddler. A pop culture sensation which boosted comic sales, it also inspired DC to take a less-campy approach to the characters as counterpoint. So...winners all around, and an eternal source of delight. POW!
