I'm about 3 hrs. into the Jack Smith deposition video. I'd love to know what relevance the GOP whining about how poor DJT had to have lots of lawyers and be in DC, NY & FL for court appearances & "Big Law" never hires Republicans, etc., has to do with Smith's cases? (pg. 114-119 in the transcript).

Note to self: It was a rookie mistake. Always check the yield of a recipe before doubling it. Now I have WAY too many ginger snaps. Way too many. But the house smells good, I guess.

My electricity went out last evening and the first thing I did was check to see if any part of our country was under some sort of attack. That's the world we live in now.

A friend just told me her neighbor was recently "disappeared" by masked men, assumed to be ICE. They broke his car window and dragged him out of his car, directly in front of his condo (next door to hers). We live in suburban SW Ohio; there haven't been reports of ICE activity hereabouts.

six packs of chicken and six of sausage if you turn down the cereal, bread, peanut butter, canned goods, milk, and fresh produce. He got quite belligerent and had to be escorted out. And that is why clients aren't allowed back to the shelves.

I volunteered at a food pantry this morning. We pack a cart based on the size of the family. Clients do not come back to the pantry. New client this morning insisted on seeing the pantry... and then tried to tell us what we were going to give him. No sir, that's not how it works. No, you can't have

My understanding is that every member of Congress has 15 to 18 staff members who work for them. Each one, 15 to 18 staff. How many of those positions have been eliminated in the DOGE efforts and now the shutdown purge? Curious minds would like to know.

What annoys me more than the fact that everyone currently in power in the government is so woefully, completely unqualified for their positions is that so many of my fellow Americans are A-OK with profound incompetence. Even when their own lives are negatively impacted.

I have a plumber working on my leaking bathroom sink. Somehow he set himself on fire (welding/soldering) & ran through the house with the flaming welding/soldering tool. Must've dropped it on the rug in my entryway because when I got up to see, that was in flames on the lawn.

It's perfectly legal for a bakery to refuse to make a cake for a same-sex wedding, but it's illegal for an office supply/services store to refuse to print posters for a CK memorial vigil.
