An anarchist journalist scraped the user data from a neo-Nazi dating site with shitty infosec & the results are posted here for free:

The writeup has some hilarious quotes, as well as the consistently depressing mixture of idiot‐creep that you'd expect:

It's fun to see many people claiming to remember the Iraq war simultaneously forgetting the reasons:
1st time, Saddam invaded a neighbour
2nd time, Saddam violated the air-enforced ceasefire more than 18 times and refused to return a prisoner of war (believed alive at the time)

I doubt anyone in the current regime had actually read Manwaring, but clearly an advisor has found it convenient for #Venezuela.
Manwaring argued in his 2010 work that an opponent can wage total war in indirect ways by using criminal networks to engineer political changes in their target country - a sort of post-Leninist "phased struggle" that amounts to total war.
Helpful summary here: smallwarsjournal.com/2025/12/05/m...

May your 2026 be good stuff, eels possibly optional.
A little eel history to welcome the year!

In 1535, Richard Graynfeld wrote Arthur Plantagenet about the fishing in the castle moat, saying: "I pray God send us good stuff of eels."

And may it be so with you, too, friends. I wish you all good stuff of eels in this coming year.

Fellas, for the love of #NAFO, please encourage/facilitate your 🇺🇦 friends to provide donation options that are neither 🇺🇲 nor Monobank.

Kofi & Wise are both 🇬🇧, that help 🇨🇦🇩🇰 with our boycott of 🇺🇲 platforms. Wise doesn't charge fees to 🇺🇦 charities (I have invites!)

Monobank still hates not-🇪🇺 cards.

One thing that 20 years of dealing with the Veterans' bureaucracy has taught me is that the vast majority of people feel zero burden of responsibility (or basic ethics) just as long as their pay continues to appear in their bank.

It's a Pareto distribution of 80% asshats : 20% looking to quit.
The Olivia Nuzzi story and the Bari Weiss at CBS story are the same story, which is that the upper echelons of legacy media are absolutely rife with people who worship power and don't feel burdened by any sense of responsibility to their profession or the public.
