190 miles done in Eco the Sahara Panda today; what a fuss-free little car. Just gets on with it, and the 1.1 FIRE engine enjoys being worked hard like a proper Italian. Lovely views at Rutland Water, and also v pleased with the almost OEM Blaupunkt Bluetooth radio.

Focus is back and better than ever! Replaced the lower arms with quality ones, and also new track rods and ends, 4 new tyres and tracking. Drives like a new car in a lot of ways now, feels responsive and sharp in a way it never did with its old knackered balljoints. MOT pass today means a drive out

The 500 and us have arrived safely at the B&B Hotel in Reims, after an epic 11 hour, 500-mile journey from Turin. It was hard work at times with some tricky Swiss mountain roads!
We can all have a few hours rest before pressing ever more onwards to Cambridge tomorrow!
