Knew GT Concept was quite short, sort of a taster for GT4 (before GT4 Prologue also came out to fill a gap when GT4 was delayed). Didn't remember it was a "done in two hours" kind of game though 😆 Handling less interesting than GT3, but still fun, and great car selection for a stop-gap.

After six months (to the day), 257 in-game days, and 105 hours of playtime, I've hit 100% in GT3.

It's... a slog. I'd say a good 50% of the game, when it's all *long* series and endurance races, isn't actually that fun.

Am I going to gold those final few licences? Also no. That's quite enough, ta.

Gimme more stories like the Twingo and this kind of thing, rather than trying to guess which 911 or R8 will win this time around www.hagerty.co.uk/articles/i-r...

I'm probably exaggerating here, but does anyone really give a shit about GT-class racing?

I know it can deliver some pretty good battles but other than cheering on the yellow Corvettes at Le Mans the class itself just bores me to tears.

Would far rather N24 had the mad diversity it used to.

Objectively driving stuff for a living kinda trained me out of this. I love MX-5s but I'm also interested in pretty much everything they've competed against. Alpine A110's another favourite, but I also dig Caymans and Elises and Supras and M2s and stuff.

Too much good stuff out there to be tribal.
QOTD: Is there a car you dislike simply because it’s a competitor to your favorite car?

I’m a Corvette enthusiast, but I like Mustangs a lot.

I want to hear about your tribalism!

Reminds me that when I visited Trial Sports in Osaka last year, there was an MGF *on British plates* in the car park. Have to imagine a Brit had brought it over themselves, as why would you import an MGF to Japan when the local ones are almost certainly in much better nick?
The first all-new MG since the B of 1962, the MG F reflected a short-lived revival at the Rover Group in the early 90s. It initially came with 1.8-litre K-series engines, including the 143bhp VVC. This Japanese brochure underlines its international appeal. #weirdcarbs

Prompted by @palaeoboy.bsky.social's spot. Subaru R1. Funky things. Shame they never came with a manual, but I think these are somewhat overlooked when people import kei cars. There was even a supercharged version! www.carsensor.net/usedcar/deta...

Mazda certainly benefitted from the rules set at the time, but the amount of Le Mans wins that have somehow involved luck make Mazda's luck nothing more than a rounding error. Ultimately you have to have a car there in the right place at the end. You don't do a full 24 hour race on luck alone.

News in latest Autocar suggesting the next Audi RS6 will have ~800hp.

You probably get bored of me banging on about excessive power, so I'll just say that the outgoing car really isn't slow with 600+. And that my favourite Panamera was the 424bhp first-gen GTS. And favourite M5 the 394bhp E39...

I'd somehow been able to avoid auto-dubbing on Youtube videos until now but it's just popped up randomly in a Best Motoring video and Youtube won't let me turn it off. Click on "Japanese original" for the audio track and it instantly resets to auto-dubbing.

Still need to edit most of them, but a quick snap of today's photography subject, courtesy of @boosplodge.bsky.social junior. 205s are great, aren't they?

Not quite a supertourer, but this Vectra Challenge car does a pretty good visual impression, and at £12k it's probably about a tenth the price (or less) of a genuine supertourer now www.facebook.com/marketplace/...

One grotty car park negotiated at about 3mph and it looks like I've just done the RAC frigging rally.

Shout out to the guy in the AA van who was the only person who actually gave way at one of those "priority to oncoming traffic" areas in a village. I appreciated him raising his hands in sympathy as the six cars in front of him all barged through rather than waiting for me...

Wonder where £16k's worth of Bentley Arnage T ranks in the pantheon of risky barge buys, alongside Conti GT, Quattroporte, E60 M5 etc. Looks magnificent www.carandclassic.com/l/C1972720

Also for clarity I'm not seeing whether "the coast is clear" here, if Steph was on Bluesky I'd address this directly. And I'm not taking pot-shots, this is more a case of timing because I'm starting to see the "hurr hurr journos don't know what they're on about" stuff a lot these days.
I don't think Steph's on here right? I like what she does but not a great title on this vid. The answer's neither: the Estelle/Rapid etc never actually got particularly poor reviews, but the reviews it did get were, like the majority from professional reviewers, fair and accurate to the vehicle.
