These executive orders are all illegal. Yet they are being treated by the federal government practically as a higher form of law than that which is passed by the legislature. And therein lies the fundamental problem of Trump 2. This, almost more than anything else, must be stopped.

The Supreme Court ruled that the Trump admin must facilitate the return of SMART Union Local 100 apprentice Kilmar Abrego Garcia.

They need to quit wasting time and bring our union brother home NOW!

They quite literally believe that they can make reality into anything they choose it to be.

This, among many other things, has to be seen as a red line.
As the truth about Abrego Garcia comes out, the Trump administration has begun a propaganda campaign against him and the news media, saying mainstream media is defending an MS-13 gang member.

"Criminal contempt". Now lets see some arrests. Pronto.
Judge Boasberg: “the Court ultimately determines that the Government’s actions on that day demonstrate a willful disregard for its Order, sufficient for the Court to conclude that probable cause exists to find the Government in criminal contempt.”

How many times do we have to re-learn that appeasement of fascists is *guaranteed* to fail?
When law firms signed those deals with Trump, people warned: there are no guarantees he won’t come back for more.

So here we are. A six-byline story:

Trump's brutal thugs.
This is so fucked up. ICE agents in Massachusetts smashed the window of a car to grab a Guatemalan guy who was with his wife. They were waiting for their lawyer to arrive because he has a pending asylum case.

As the Trump regime urges "drill baby drill" and romanticizes coal mining, emissions keep going up and carbon sinks are showing signs of severe stress.

Remember ... just because you're not interested in the climate crisis does not mean the climate crisis isn't very much interested in you.
The proportion of CO2 in the atmosphere grew at a record 3.75 ppm last year -- a jump 27% bigger than the previous record increase.

The best explanation: forests and soils are so stressed by climate change they're losing the ability to absorb our emissions.

Is the planet losing one of its best ways to slow climate change?
The concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere rose last year at the fastest rate on record. The spike has scientists worried that more and more carbon is coming from natural sources.

In defiance of the Supreme Court & without any evidence, the White House claims that Kilmar Abrego Garcia is a “terrorist,” who was “sent to the right place.”

This is a blatant LIE. He is innocent.

He cannot be allowed to rot in an El Salvadorian jail. He must be brought home.

Universities will win if they stick together and focus on what's actually important - non-profit teaching and research towards the public good - and ditch this neoliberal idea that the university is just a business like any other.

This is the way.
Corruption is quickly becoming the through line, and the message from the Los Angeles stage hammered this home: Your life feels more difficult, more stressful today as a direct result of a deeply entrenched plutocratic perfidy.
Bernie and AOC Are Starting a New Political Movement Before Our Eyes
Forget the era of “Bernie Bros.” Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez drew a record crowd in Los Angeles with a new message aimed squarely at Donald Trump and Elon Musk.
