White people can be so arrogant that when they hear a language they don't understand, they automatically think you're talking about them.

When it comes to calling out racism, this is also true of people being worried about what their neighbors or coworkers might say. I've butted heads with plenty of coworkers and I know of at least a few neighbors who talk shit about me.
