FOX: What was the reaction among European leaders when you decided to call Putin during your meeting?

TRUMP: I didn't do it in front of them. I thought that would be disrespectful to President Putin.

“That really is his understanding of what a deal is: getting something over on the other guy. And that’s what we see here. To the extent there’s any plan it’s basically a power play; Trump is pulling on the economic powers of the world to bum rush them into a newly subservient global trading regime”

Have written about Starmer's speech- his best moment yet as PM. He implicitly identified what sits at the heart of this story: the emergence of a common UK/US online right, headed by the radicalised Musk.

It is making extremist, until recently fringe politics mainstream in British conservatism.

Loads to go through here, but the takeaway is clear- how the UK measures immigration is crazy and how our politicians mislead the public about our needs and lack leadership on this is even crazier
Long thread of initial reflections on today's immigration statistics as I read through them. First off, it would be great if people could remember they are from June, that means that, not matter your political persuasions, they are down to the previous government. 1/

I don’t understand why the government has not put out a stronger narrative about farmers and inheritance tax. They seem to be letting farmers have a free run at it.

This X account has been given a grey checkmark, verifying it as an official government account.

It also only accepts resumes be DM's, which are solely open to verified X users who pay Elon Musk.

This level of corruption is staggering.
