Poseidon arrives back at the ranch early the next morning, still struggling to commit to the next step. He knows it is the right time because being at the ranch now feels like hiding. He just has to explain his decision to Aunt Bonnie.

As beautiful as the gulch is though, Poseidon knows that this is not where he is meant to stay forever. He has tried to convince himself that it is, but deep down he knows it's not. There is another place calling to him, but he is afraid of answering that call.

The gulch is everything that Poseidon imagined: beautiful and serene. As he takes it all in, he realizes that this is the kind of place where he has always wanted to live: surrounded by nature without a person in sight.

Poseidon has been wanting to explore the gulch since the day he got here. Bonnie, however, did not want him to go on horseback until she felt confident in his riding abilities. She finally gave her approval yesterday and Poseidon immediately started packing an overnight bag.

Update coming today! I finally wrote out an outline for Poseidon's young adult years so now I'm really motivated to work on it. Also, I played around with chapters in my outline and now want to start using them. So last update and today's will be the first parts of chap. 2 since teen years are 1.
