Being entirely serious for a moment, in a canon full of gruesome deaths and horrible endings for characters, Celebrimbor’s death is the one that has always stuck with me. I’m such a sucker for defiance and I honestly feel truly blessed at what Amazon elected to give me when it came to his end.

You know, our first look at khazad-dûm in Rings of Power never fails to send shivers down my spine the same way as watching the Rohirrim charge on the Pelennor, or watching Gandalf arrive at Helm’s Deep.

I just learned both my brothers are going to be in town while I’m back in the states post holidays and this is excellent news because I still haven’t gotten the one to watch TRoP S2 so that’s priority numero uno

Treebeard and Gollum/Sméagol were also standout performances for me. They sounded so much like the characters I’ve always known, it felt like home even when the language was above my level.
It is in fact the German dub and I have thoughts now that we’ve seen Fellowship. Galadriel’s German voice is damn near perfect. I was so worried I wouldn’t like it. No need to fear. In fact all the elves have fantastic voices.
