I can only remember, as I was visiting the Tolkien Exhibition when I heard the news. And 2 days later I was getting a tattoo (planned months before) of the Silmarils. I’ll never be grateful enough for Christopher’s work, thank you for producing and editing my fav book of all time 💚

Wanted to see the Eagle and the Child pub as well but it was hidden by public work 😔 but I also saw Radcliffe Camera! Known to be Tolkien inspiration for Sauron’s temple of Morgoth 🙂↕️
