New green tech won't save us when we're still using other fancy new tech to find the last fossil fuels to use.

We'll claim we are "ensuring that the quest for oil does not come at the expense of marine ecosystems" - but it's just more BAU bullshit.

What should Canada do about oil to America when a bully upends trade norms & threatens annexation? Insane, but as biosphere collapse and climate breakdown speed up, we're going to hand-wring over dirty crude. The "norms" were and are, ecocidal. But here we are. #elbowsup

Knock-on effects of all wars, including the Trump trade war, will accelerate biosphere breakdown. The panicky national solutions proposed because of dumb tariffs are backsliding insanity: China, more consumption - Canada, more interprovincial oil pipelines - the U.S., chop more forests.

More = BAD.

It's as if low consumption is a disease instead of our only hope of survival

Impossible not to repeat watch the Trump disaster meeting. I hope everyone caught the moment he gave Zelensky a push on the shoulder. A head of state from a country where brave people are dying daily, gets physically bullied by a draft dodger. It was intimidation - but it backfired spectacularly.
