I feel an alchemy my body of bones   soft fingers wrists, teeth, snug   and warmer scent of flowers   slide deepening within I inhale gently   my flesh shudders jubilant, shook   I want to...

🏳️‍🌈 Since it's Pride Month, I encourage all allies to support this lovely young man's transition. He's raising money to pay for HRT & surgeries. I challenge you to show your support materially, in a way that will help directly. Please give what you can! Thank you! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Perhaps starting today with Leonard Cohen's album "You Want It Darker" didn't quite set me up for a lighthearted kind of day.

Once on the subway I saw this guy who looked just like Danny Glover. We rode for several stops and I tried not to stare but then he got out at west 4th and his NYU jacket said "Glover" across the back. I never even got a selfie! Traumatized.
One time I got on the subway at like 04:30 AM after doing sound for a bar gig that had paid in cash, and another guy got on and sat partway down the car from me, and it was the end of the line so the train just sat there for like another 20 minutes before it departed.

Bone chilling.
one time on the subway 2 guys got on in suits of armor with lances and shopping carts (like from the grocery store, not granny carts) done up like horses, and I asked them where they were going and they said they were going shopping cart jousting

terrifying

Open AI’s valuation is at $400 billion. They used about 190,000 books to train their plagiarism bot. Randomly saying 25% of their value comes from that stolen dataset, I think they owe the authors about $526,000 per stolen book.

Ever since I first had Covid in 2020, my sense of smell has been really off. Right now I'm smelling braised short ribs- this is a treat. Lots of times I smell burning cigarettes. Sometimes I smell rotting trash or sewage. I hate it.
