Unfortunately, we've also become a society so fixated on accountability that we've lost the plot entirely on what accountability actually looks like and how you need to give people the grace to have a genuine shot at self reflection but yanno.
The internet would be a lot less insane place if people would occasionally practice self-reflection and go “yeah that was a bad tweet or i was misinformed” instead of coming up with some bizarre gaslighty reason why they were right actually and you’re an idiot who should die

Everyone could learn so, so much from getting into the habit of taking a deep breath and re-reading what they are about to post/say on social media a good 3 or 4 times before pressing the "post" button.

If you write/draw/roleplay an OC that is a person of color, you need to do extensive research to ensure they are portrayed with grace.
I’ve seen waaaaaay too many instances of bastardizing cultures for personal gain.

A detailed update:
Dad had a double stroke that looked pretty serious. His wife was fired for taking days off to take care of him. I booked it across the country to help out.
He'll be better in a month or two, but will need a lot of work and help, he has pretty severe aphasia and limb paralysis.
