Hello Bluesky 🦋

I'm an artist, maker, knitter, always picking up new hobbies.

I can often be found photographing mushrooms, designing a pattern for a hobby I'm new to, or butchering Pinterest cookie recipes.

Here's some photos I've taken of some of my recent projects. :)

After 1.5 years, 3 froggings & much learning I've finally finished knitting @noah-the-bard.bsky.social's sweater!

I ended up using the Storm Sweater pattern by Petite Knit with changes due to using a heavy worsted, and an added gusset in the armpit

I used Heritage by Briggs & Little 🧶

Planning out my ugly Christmas sweater (cardigan?) for the office party... I'm thinking crochet gingerbread man squares will be fun and I can repurpose them into a Christmas blanket after.

Went to Knit City Vancouver and bought a restrained amount of yarn 🧶

A mood board for the fall 🍂

Instead of big goals for the fall I've been focusing on letting go of projects that I'm unhappy with, finishing ones I've had on the back burner, and making lots of soup 🌻

A mathematical mess...

This spring I self drafted a sweater without having knit anything like it before, + while playing yarn chicken. 🧶🐔

I will be frogging this monstrosity and giving the motif a second chance after I learn some more about these types of sweaters.

An update on my lunch break knitting project, the Alpine Bloom Hat by Caitlin Hunter.

Tried it on and it fits snugly so I'm now working on the ribbing. I'm doing a two toned fisherman's rib for some extra squish.

Did some yarn dying this weekend, some little orange bits for my mom who's knitting tiny pumpkins, and trying to color match some bits for an upcoming sweater project. 🧶

I used marigolds from my garden for the yellow and madder root power for the red. 🌼

This was my first time knitting such a large color work pattern and my first time steeking. The pattern was well written and easy to follow. 😊

Been quiet online lately, all the summer shenanigans have my autistic brain a little overwhelmed.

Here's a pic of my little wild garden, it's a mix of local wildflowers, herbs like dill and parsley, and some other things like a single sunflower and some blueberry plants.
