I've read J.D. Robbs book's with Eve Dallas as a murder cop in NY in the year 2060. Through the whole series there are mentions of the Urban wars that start in the 2020's. Yes, the books are fiction but also frighteningly spot on with what is going on here and all over the world. Be very afraid!
