I’m not arguing with no account defending AI. My grandmother lives in an area being environmentally compromised currently by an ai data center. I remember the color of the lake before they built it and the sludge I see in it when I go to see her. Shut the fuck up about “the benefits of AI” forever.

effort. i think its a very situational piece of storytelling bc that was the only way TO make planes in that time. i like how miyazaki makes war films without the war being the main story or conflict but rather how people have to survive inside that sphere of time

i think that was the beauty of the wind rises bc it didnt demonize nor infantilize either party, but rather showed a nuance of jiro wanting to create beautiful airplanes rather than being staunch for the war effort, but also acknowledging the fact that building the planes was also adding to the war
