At least 3 or 4 times during today's exam I heard the doors of the lecture theater open and watched strangers enter (no idea why they were there). Exactly 3 or 4 times did I not worry that they were there to shoot me or the students.
I will be running a University exam this week. I will have zero worries about my students being shot because

I remember when I was up for promotion to full professor and the Dean asked me how I could demonstrate excellence in education and I said (with a finger in my ear) ... err, you gave me this. 🫠
Dang. We so often forget the good and the bad. How did I live through a second daignosis and still do this? No clue.
