Why is it that Messages on iOS/iPadOS can handle the number of messages without breaking a sweat, but on macOS on an M3 Max MBP the app chokes harder than anything else I have running, including Blender, Davinci Reaolve, and Reaper COMBINED?

The fact that it's 2025 and iOS/macOS Photos app STILL won't let you not show an album's photos in the Camera Roll is REALLY getting annoying. Good media management is probably the one thing I miss the most from my old Android days. 😢
