(continues to process CCA rewatch weeks later) I like Beltorchika fine, but Chan is a really sweet partner for Amuro as a fellow machine head... I can really imagine the types of situations where Amuro can be earnest and open with her, which makes it extra sad that he can't be fully available to her

In the YOI days we would talk about how one could not worship Yuri directly, you must become a nun for Victor and only the Divine Victor could transmit our love to Yuri. Anyway sometimes I feel this way about Char to Amuro. We cannot idolize Amuro as purely as Char can.
