I don't have a lot of details to share right now, and I'm still working out the kinks myself, but I'm hoping to start a service offering short, weekend long ad hoc QA contracts for indies. My time and availability would be pretty heavily limited, but I'll have more details once I've worked em out.

but areas like reverse engineering or firmware design or compilers or lower level performance stuff seem to have less LLM utility and advocacy

i think also the areas that LLM-based tooling is effective and popular in is stuff where the craft is less about each individual line of code and more about larger-scale design decisions; there's only so much craft involved in writing a React CRUD wrapper or a Python state machine implementation

for fields like creative writing, visual art, music, etc. plagiarism is heavily actively policed and discouraged, but for writing code it's more of a "don't get caught and/or piss of these specific people" which i think contributes to the more permissive attitude around LLM-based tooling

i think it's because a) software has traditionally been a place where copying has been more accepted (see copy pasting code snippets from stackoverflow, heavy boilerplating, etc.) and b) the tools have started to hit an inflection point where some of the models are becoming actually useful

"Better™ DN Idyllic Dream" is a different raidplan which was originally the same as "DN Idyllic with Uptime" but with light parties flipped, then updated when hector's video came out, so now they are identical strats with different group notation
