My indie bookstore purchases for #independentbookstoreday I went to Under the Umbrella and The Legendarium. So happy to see all the support given to these local indie booksellers ❤️📚

All disabled people are deserving of life, love & care.

The narrative that “low functioning” people who don’t pay taxes, won’t serve in the military & can’t live independently are somehow expendable is deeply rooted in eugenics.

A person’s worth isn’t tied to their health or economic contribution

The list of things that haven’t made my life worse but certain groups insist are a problem.

3. Gay people
4. Certain books
5. Diversity
6. Inclusion
7. Equality
8. Social programs.

Okay… Here I go *Deep Breath* KEEP BEING UNAPOLOGETICALLY QUEER, GAY, TRANS. The system they impose only works if people submit to the rigid conformity of the binary. Just by existing and persisting, you already threaten that control they are grasping at.

Last night I watched Pan’s Labyrinth for the first time and it’s still on my mind. It’s relevant to how things are going right now and it was something I really needed to see. The importance of storytelling, the denial of harmful narratives, the gruesome and beautiful fairytale creatures… Beautiful

The My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, was pretty quality as far as kid’s shows go. Despite some directions they went with it, it was a gem that can be watched anytime and still hold relevance. A lot of shows are missing soul these days in favor of low risk cash grabs.

When things get hard, I find solace in my silly little things. The simple joys, cozy games, books, movies and tv shows. The small joys can really help and add up to help compact the overwhelm that is news and social media.

Refining my pattern and technique for a pocket pouch. I did a few before this that were trash, but the feeling when you get it right is real 🔥. The top is 1000D Cordura and the bottom is ECOpak by Challenge. Both use 4.5mm coil zippers from YKK.

What if there was a company that sold socks in a pack but no socks matched so you would never have matching socks. You’re welcome for the gimmicky idea lol.
