I watched the episodes properly. I noticed that they did rush through it which I don't mind. I think it was overall decent as a parody project though!

I also think part of why DBZA never made it through Buu was the ongoing copyright trouble and strikes from Toei on YouTube plus how exhausting a project that was for the team. After that, TFS started doing shorter projects and other content instead of one huge abridged series it seems.

Parody works best when people already know the source. My concern is less about the abridged itself and more about how often parody becomes someone’s first and only exposure to a series like this.

I know abridged series are meant to be parody, but I really hope TeamFourStar doesn’t continue their Sailor Moon abridged. I don’t want it becoming the default lens people use to understand a series that’s a lot more sincere and emotionally rich.

It feels like Astro Boy and Speed Racer don’t get enough credit for opening the door for anime outside Japan. Peter Fernandez’s English dub work on Speed Racer in particular did so much to make it stick with Western audiences.

Back in the 90's and even into the 2000's I feel like a lot of people involved didn't think Sailor Moon or anime in general would take off at all and have an international fanbase. The DIC/Cloverway dub is a big product of it's time for sure.

I usually like Google Docs for longer writing since it’s easy to read and comment on, but screenshots or pasted excerpts work great for shorter pieces too. You could even do both.

Not a huge Chipotle fan, but my girlfriend introduced me to some solid high protein options. My doctor recommended more protein while cutting carbs on my weight loss med so this works. Chicken and cheese is it for me. I don't like rice and the beans are not bad. I am a picky eater historically.
