February. Sunday morning.
08:01. Inside and out.
Keeping warm.
Matching the frame to the colour of the sky.

Just a beautiful tree in the sunlight, seen on the way to visiting my friend yesterday.

I have little to say through my photography or poetry at the moment. Blame the times.

I’m waiting to catch a glimpse of the world on the other side of dystopia. It exists. It’s just beyond that looming mountain wall. I know we have to envision it before we can live it. But who will be the first?

People and places are portals, each will lead you somewhere but beware what they let in.
The improvised cartographer I am.

A photo of the map,

At this point, I’m not sure who’s mapping whom.

Wonderful to see this city emerging. I could explore the structural details and points of gold leaf illumination for hours, zooming in like a bird approaching, choosing somewhere to alight.
A work in progress for Labyrinth.

Sharing two of my favourite paintings, purely because I rediscovered them by chance this morning and greatly enjoyed spending time with them again.

Sargent’s work was painted in the village of Broadway (a stone’s throw away), over a long series of twilights in 1885, to capture the perfect light.

Blown away by the way Amber captures the energy of storms and the transformative warmth of light. A UK artist, new to me, I’m so glad to have discovered her work.

A core memory: Sunrise,
October 10th, 2021. Waking up with the wolves and deer at Wolf Watch UK.

I thought I’d lost this footage.
The sound is everything.
