The Exalted Sine Function is one of the many axioms used by the Church of Impermanence in its perpetual fit against the creep of the non-Euclidean. This particular function is quite obscure, used by only the most learned and skilled of surveyors.

Blessed is the Rot, coming January 13.

Theopold Cromford, a cultist who worships the Others. Relatedly, his knowledge of the synthetics is unparalleled.

Leida Kristopherson, an archaeologist who teaches at the university. She’s an expert on all things of the Old World.

If clergyfolk are the voice of the Church, Surveyors are its hand. Their role is critical in keeping the non-Euclidean at bay. Besides finding and then confining distortions, Surveyors are also responsible for dealing with the afflicted. They do this by providing a mercy killing.

Tillie is a dead-ringer for Sophie. The resemblance is so uncanny that Tillie’s likeness has become her livelihood. She may not have been born a high blood, but she excels at playing one.

Preorders are a lovely thing. They help us authors get a wider reach on launch, so if you already plan to snag a copy of Blessed is the Rot, why not make that a preorder?

Nicolus Yevin, a priest of the Church of Impermanence, a well-connected high blood, a poet. He is a man of many talents and will go to great lengths to serve the needs of his closest friend and ally, Vergil.

Blessed is the Rot, coming January 13.

To become afflicted is the worst kind of fate, the cells of one’s body turning into twisted pervasions, defying the laws of physics, driving the mind insane. The only cure for affliction is a mercy killing, a complete and total dismemberment of the body.

Vergil Holdsworth is a bishop of the Church of Impermanence, his days filled with preaching to the masses about the holy symmetries of the Euclidean, his nights occupied by satisfying various vices.

The Lady is the guiding light of the Church of Impermanence. It was she who helped Saint Marcos Frenwith develop the Rot of the Link that ousted the Others.

The first ARC reviews for Blessed is the Rot are rolling in! The interest on BookSiren has been excellent. My previous two novels only garnered a few readers each. I suspect the genre of dark science fantasy is partly responsible (but the lovely cover likely helps too).

Mysterious beings from outside of space and time, the Others arrived during the time of the Old World. In many ways, they aided society, offering knowledge and insights, but some distrusted their motives.

Sophie Roshem has so much—wealth, status, and a keen ability for combating the non-Euclidean. The latter serves her well in her role as a surveyor. It’s in this capacity that she first meets Fenrir.
