Personally I genuinely have never heard of anyone using "sir/madam" outside of the context of customer service jobs.

Plus I think they're just using them as generally speaking rather than imply of age.

Then again depends on context lol

Japan's current right-wing government is pushing for a strict new anti-spy law. But one legislator says the proposed law is so vague that even oshikatsu, or support for one's favorite idol, could be construed as a crime against the state.

The 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good shot dead unnecessarily by ICE in Minneapolis leaves behind a six year old son.
To compound the sadness of this tragedy, her son is now an orphan as he had lost his father in 2023!

You and your wife drop your 6-year-old off at school. You just moved here. You see ICE terrorizing your new neighbors. You film them, as is your legal right. Your wife complies with orders. She is then shot in the head. You still have to pick up your child later today.

This could be you.

As an educator I get concerned at any attempt to discourage reading, comprehending, and articulately responding to the written word. This is yet another step towards a more ignorant society.

These may not feel important, but oh my god they are. Two of them are flip opportunities, and the rest are holds, either way we need to win, and overperform.

Remember, most of our rights come from the state, so if you care about your rights you should care about state level races.

To be fair most of the major events did occur when the community was at its infancy

And even then, it was really niche up until late 2010s

It's also interesting how little it really has changed when we're still seeing people being hypocrites with each other claiming to be sidelined :/

Oh 100%, ironically enough my account here despite I just post any bits of pieces of info, I am pleased to see people not only replying but also sharing and liking the posts!

This is by far the most popular account that lets say Instagram where you constantly play into weird algos rules.

I'm not sure if it is even "adapting", it's all more so really just engaging within the community similarly to Reddit, Tumblr, Twitch, Discord.

The principal applies the same with just simply tagging, posting and reposting in different spaces.

This is like internet 101? No?
December 30, 2025 at 5:43 AM
Hi! Adding to this discussion, it does seem a bit silly that someone wouldn't grasp the building of an audience?

Quite virtually on Twitch, YouTube, Instagram, Discords, all of these social media spaces require engaging and being active in some way.

I'm not sure how they don't realize it?

Kind of new around the internet here so do you mind giving the breakdown of "platform wars"? Never heard about it besides the debacle of Twitter with Bsky
