I’m too old to pull all-nighters for work. But I don’t have enough of a handle on my ADHD and/or I’m too immature to push past perfectionism and procrastination without the pressure of a hard deadline. Sigh.

Back in my day, the second moon still pulled the mana tide. During the alignments, fish would gain sentience and their dark lunar magic would mean a fortnight of hiding for us land dwellers.
Back in my day we were cats, see, Wizard cats, and we had to sneak out at night when the humans were asleep to go do important Wizard shit like maintaining with world gates in Grand Central Station and staving off the inevitable heat death of the universe.
Back in my time, my parents tossed me out into the day and all that I could see was the red and white of the King's army. I met with them among the pine, I met with them by noon, and the dirge would sound on the morrow's noon. I had to claim my enemy and be the fox's destiny- that was just normal!

Sitting next to my 28yr old daughter in church. She’s knitting during the sermon, and before understanding ADHD, if she were a child I might have scolded her and told her to pay attention. Now I understand this is a coping mechanism, and HOW she pays attention.

Farm still up for sale, but we already sold the tractor last fall… Had to buy a fixer-upper to mow the lawn. But hey, now the farm comes with a John Deere tractor with mower deck and snowblower! 😜
