So happy to have my article exploring austerity and the way forward for the Valleys included in this ebook.

There's heartbreaking real-life examples of austerity's impact, the cruel economics and its impact on Wales & hope for building a way forward. Well worth a read!

This has united all political parties across the spectrum.

If Starmer doesn't back down now, this will end his premiership.

🔥 The UK is in another heatwave — and the government is failing the people most at risk.

Tomorrow, MPs are voting over whether to push through devastating disability benefit cuts, which will mean future generations will receive less support than Disabled people today.

Still devastated by this decision. My old uni department - and a brilliant one with exceptional staff in an exceptional city ruined by out of touch uni management with no concern for culture or student&staff wellbeing 💔

Ahead of @scottishgreens.org conference, I was pleased to write for @thecommonweal.bsky.social newsletter today about the importance of members continuing to push our MSPs as they have in the last year.

There’s lots to be hopeful about. We must build on it.

Thanks to everyone who has supported sculptor Chris Williams and his woodland residency 😁👍

He's at 75% of his target amount. Help to get him to the finish line would be really appreciated!

'If Cymru truly wants to be a Nation of Sanctuary it needs a First Minister who isn’t silently complicit in the hostile environment created by her counterparts in Westminster. And we need to stand up and say to refugees and to all who want to come here: “Croeso!”'

Doing the printing and labelling today for the Outsiders gallery in a box. The @workersgallery.bsky.social will be taking it out to care homes using a cargo bike so people who can’t attend in person can see and interact with the work. Great initiative which we are proud to support.
Delighted to say that the Outsiders exhibition will be shown at The Workers Gallery in Wales from June to August 2025. Really pleased to be working with such a well respected and responsible team.

Me in @bylines.cymru on how devolution embeds austerity in Cymru. We will only have a fair and prosperous Cymru when we get out from under the dead hand of Westminster’s austerity and can take our own decisions on tax, spending and borrowing.
Budgets, block grants, & the Barnett Formula – Welsh devolution embeds austerity

If Cymru’s a ship then Westminster’s a tug boat, pulling the nation towards shoals and rough seas. Can we ever take the wheel and steer away from austerity?

Deep state: the underlying objectives of austerity

The architects of austerity didn’t just want to reduce debt or asset-strip the welfare state and privatise anything that moved. The cuts go deep, into people’s very minds.
