Pretty sure Al and I just witnessed some kind of Nova in the sky just now.
A star flashed massively over a period of around 5 or 6 seconds before dimming almost completely out of sight.
Then, innumerable satellites came into view across the sky, almost like they had detected something.

Because we bought that cat bed 2 years ago, and it's only ever been looked at with contempt by this cat. 😼😹
But maybe it wasn't the bed, maybe it was just put in the wrong place by these dumb monkeys. 🙈

Since moving to Hastings, I've been blown away by how clear the night skies are down here. This was taken on my phone last night.
Jupiter, which is fast approaching opposition, is centre here, with the Pleiades just up and to the right.

After 48+hrs of banging and crashing from the scaffolding due to the near constant 50mph winds, Hastings has returned to it's lovely peaceful self... Maybe I'll get some sleep tonight. And my roof repaired. 🙏😫
