I'm getting rid of a huge bag of clothes I've held on to far too long to including my deep grieving depression bathrobe, my favorite sweater from b4 kids and a few of my mom's things. It hurts to let go but it's time.

I just watched this year's Christmas episode of the simpsons and it was so beautiful I cried. Watching Ned Flanders begin deconstruction was something.

In sad local news, one of the coolest places in my city is closing bc the landlord sold the building. It's a mall inside an old mill building downtown for small business including a yoga studio, coffee shop, book store featuring local authors, record store featuring local artists...

My 9 yo has been learning a lot about bullying, especially the kind coming from a "friend". While brainstorming responses to unkind comments, he took an Uno Reverse card from the card deck and now he carries in his pocket wherever he goes jic someone says something mean.

Husband got a new job, so I got new insurance.
I can't get my meds until I have an appt w/ my pcp.
I can't get an appt until my pcp is listed in the system w/ new insurance.
I was promised repeatedly that my info would be in the system yesterday.
It was not. So I can't get my meds...

MIL was feeling scared about chemo tomorrow and she asked me to pray with her, soo I did. The words "dear Lord God" came out of my mouth and it was fine. She was comforted and I didn't feel like a liar. If there A Truth, it must surpass the labels we give it.

When my mom died, my mother in law stepped up in a surprising and huge way. She's been a big part of our surviving the last 4 years.
And she was just diagnosed w/ the same thing that killed my mom.
I don't know what to do.
