“The winter fuel cut was a grave mistake which exposes vulnerable people to unnecessary risks as the cold weather approaches.”

With pensioners potentially not set to receive payments until March, many will face a difficult ‘heat or eat’ situation this winter.

Did you know that in the UK & Ireland authors get a small stipend each time their books are borrowed from a public library?

The PLR scheme is a godsend to many authors.
Public Libraries can be wonderful places where children and adults can find books that they can see themselves reflected in, no matter who they are, and books that can introduce them to entire other lived experiences. Both are so valuable!
