This is certainly not a “check out” sort of message but it is a reminder that capitalism is a beast and can make it impossible for us to do less when we really need to. It’s a reminder to find ways to stay connected to community and allow others to help.

Do y'all think there's a market for helping other makers write tutorials or patterns? 🤔 I see a lot of fiber artist creators (crochet mostly but others as well) talk about creating a formal tutorial/pattern with written instructions as a major barrier to sharing patterns, and I think I could help!

(also, i don't use "handmade embroidery" to describe my work AT ALL which really goes to show that they don't understand me, my craft, or how to actually, effectively work with local artists! if they'd ASKED ME then yeah, maybe i'd have collaborated with them!)

my cat was diagnosed with asthma last week and when i was talking to my coworker about the process, she told me multiple times that i'm a good pet parent and i nearly SOBBED after being worried about ruby's health for weeks!!
