I cannot believe there are still people in my mentions arguing that boycotting an election because the candidates aren’t addressing your issue is a way to get them to pay attention.

When you are coding or scripting, do you prefer one big script file or multiple small ones? I've gravitated towards multiple small ones because it's easier to test and add modules, but also gets messy and a lot of repeat code.

Things would be a lot better in tech if fake it until you make it wasn’t an ethos.
So many people pretending to know stuff and keeping out the ones who do lest they show them up

At some point i visited a site that was building out a database of cred dumps from community contributions? I am sure of it, anyone know what that might have been?

About 30% of Australian threatened species can be found in cities and towns, right in front of many of us. Dr Kylie Soanes, an urban ecologist at the University of Melbourne, says while Australians often think of the urban environment as the “opposite to nature”, it is really not true.
That is especially the case with birds. Guardian Australia’s bird of the year poll is a chance to celebrate the birds we love and admire. There are lots of ways to support the birds living in our back yards, in street trees and local parks. Here are five. Continue reading...

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

My watchdog at work
The way my brain works:
It annoys me that there is a street near my mum called Drawbridge Rd, but it's not a drawbridge. It's just a bridge. It can not be raised, lowered, or moved aside to block passage or allow boats to pass underneath.
Just call it Bridge Rd!!
Not accurate.
