Not once in my life has a teacher not put on the men's or women's hockey team during the Winter Olympics.

Either the Capt. Canada schtick is back or it's a distraction towards the insane OSAP cuts.

Every time I walk outside, I'm more and more tempted to get a bodycam. Drivers' regard for anyone else is completely non-existent.

I've always loved Mitch Marner. At no point have I thought he was washed, garbage, or bad in high pressure situations. Not once not ever.

MR. NICHOLAS SUZUKI THANK YOU

I appreciate the wording of this, rightfully telling riders who is to blame.
Line 6 Finch West: No service between Duncanwoods and Signet Arrow stations while the maintainer fixes a mechanical problem. Shuttle buses are running between Humber College and Finch West.

Worth noting that GardaWorld's subsidiary TalentWorld has the contract for the TTC's red-vest customer service representatives.
ICE protest outside GardaWorld's Montreal headquarters leads to arrest

The Montreal-based security giant GardaWorld is reportedly helping staff the Florida detention site known as “Alligator Alcatraz."

Looks like the "pinko" speech favour has come to roost.

I can't think of two worse people to receive the Order

Hot take: You shouldn't have to spend thousands of dollars a year to big insurance just to participate in society.

Canadians are hitting a breaking point when it comes to the cost of insuring their vehicles
Some are forgoing buying a second car, driving their cars longer, or choosing to drive less expensive ones to insure

Currently in a >500-person line for free bread that snakes around Union Station if anyone wants to know what I'm doing on a Friday afternoon.

Possible recession indicator?

"Under OSAP changes, ¼ of funding can be non-repayable grants and 75% will be loans - an almost reversal of the current system, where up to 85% can be grants and 15% loans."

Unfreezing tuition is one thing, but this is just a continuation of Doug Ford's crusade against higher education.

Got this mailer from Evan Solomon (eugh) re: the enshittification of Canada Post, but it is so funny yet deceptive that none of the "facts" actually counter any of the claims, some actually supporting the claim. He doesn't call them myths because they're true.

Only if every road in the city is tolled at $0.10 with the revenue funding road maintenance, but I don't think Burnside would like that very much
Councillor Burnside moves to ask the TTC to consider increasing fares by ten cents, with the extra revenue going toward providing better service and expanding eligibility for the low-income Fair Pass.

Holyday would liquidate the TTC if he had the choice
Budget deliberations begin with Councillor Holyday, who has questions. He gets the TTC to confirm there's a $35 million reserve draw in their budget. Holyday then suggests this reserve draw wouldn't be necessary if TTC just increased fares and reversed policies like fare capping and kids-ride-free.

My train was held at each station between Avenue and Laird for 1-2 minutes. Turns out the culprit was the intersection at Leslie causing bunching. I do foresee at least some short-turning in the future.

Ford can either call his own public inquiry (and write the terms of reference) or he can wait for the next government to do something he'll enjoy even less.
