literally never punished. if you have bread and water and a borrowed wolf shirt you can escape the effects of the curse. obviously the wolf shirt is doing most of the heavy lifting here it’s like a ward

in general i don't think au ra tails are dextrous enough to maneuver objects but i'm sure it's a skill that could be trained. in Ori's case he'll wrap his tail around people as a sort of hug & can also use it as a weapon (by accident or on purpose)
