Football - Of a Arsenal/Wycombe Wanderers persuasion. Doing the 92.
📸 Peterborough v Wycombe
📍 London Road

48/92

Really poor performance in the first half from Wycombe, second half wasn’t much better either but Kone came to the rescue late in the day.

Must do better next week.

Sad to see a personal favourite of mine leave the club today. A true pro and a fantastic representative of the club both on and off the field.

Wishing him all the best in pastures new 💙
🫶 One of our longest-serving players. A promotion-winning hero. And a wonderful ambassador for our football club.

Today we can confirm that David Wheeler has left the club to pursue new opportunities elsewhere.

Thank you for everything Wheels, and good luck!

Couldn’t agree more with this statement. It’s boring & far too predictable, when playing at home Arsenal don’t get a goal early on the game the panic & frustrating patterns of play working the sidelines and cutting in, opposition teams are wise to it, sit back & tell Arsenal to try break them down.
I think the worst bit is the football Arsenal play is actually boring to watch.

Packers fans spotted in Waitrose:2
Eagles fans spotted in Waitrose:0

I’m taking that as an omen for the game tonight!

Interesting an exciting new signing for Wycombe this and feels like the first signing of the data driven era. Welcome to Wycombe Anders!

Not a good game at all this, defence allowing Darnold all the time in the world and the Vikings offence the freedom of the field. Very frustrating watch as we just can’t get any momentum.

My 2024 match stats, the first year with a real focus of getting the 92 done and I’ve been able to tick off some great stadiums, seeing some brilliant games of football over the year. Month by month breakdown 👇🏻 (1/12)

All huff and puff from Wycombe but just couldn’t get the goal. Bolton didn’t really offer a great deal but Wycombe couldn’t break them down. Onyedinma was excellent and despite not getting chances thought Kone played well. Decent crowd in AP for a Friday night which made for a good atmosphere.

Louis Dunford tickets booked for Ally Pally in April. Can’t wait for that gig. Quiet night at the library, not.

Midweek away at Exeter is about as hard as it gets, so to come away with a point when we were 2 down after 20 mins is a positive result.
FT: We take a point, having trailed by two goals early on, with Joe Low and Cameron Humphreys bringing us back into it.

Thank you to everyone who travelled and got behind us.

Struggling to understand the thought process to allow the race to go on as long as it did with Albon’s mirror strewn on the track, it was inevitable that was going to get hit given the position it was laying in somewhere just off the racing line.

Happy to tick off Deepdale today, with relatives who were from Preston it felt like a bit of a pilgrimage today.

Totally bizarre ending to the Bears/Lions game. Never change Chicago… never change.

10 on the bounce but we ‘haven’t played anyone good’ apparently… Up the table topping Wyc!

Nice to get one over the 49ers after the years of playoffs despair. Appreciate they didn’t have Purdy, Bosa etc… but can only beat the team that is in front of you and that’s what the Packers did with relative ease.
The NFC North is insanely competitive between the Lions/Vikings/Packers this year.

Credit where credit is due to Max Verstappen for this year’s world title win. Kept Norris at arms length throughout the season and never really looked like he was not going to be WDC.

2025 already shaping up to be a very competitive drivers championship given the number of race winners this year.

Odds on the Wycombe undefeated run coming to an end against Gareth Ainsworth’s Shrewsbury next month? Would be typical wouldn’t it?
November 23, 2024 at 7:22 PM
Can’t quite comprehend the run Wycombe are on, absolutely astonishing. This time 12 months ago Bloomfield’s head was being called for, fast forward to now, top of L1 and he has totally transformed the the brand of football being played. Long may it continue!

Great usage of VAR in the ALeague in Australia, foul in the box which the ref gave a penalty for, VAR advised the ref to take a look at it, which on viewing the ref overturned his decision, announced his decision mic’d up so everyone in the stadium and watching on tv could understand the reasoning.
