Progressives did a good job defending some (potentially) hard council races and did great at picking up park board seats.
Obviously lots of sadness around the Mayoral, but overall “Not as good as we hoped, not as bad as we feared” seems to be the prevailing interpretation.

I made waffles and bacon for dinner because the high schooler asked for it.
The middle schooler, who is a vegetarian, ate 5 slices of bacon, then refused to eat a waffle because it has eggs in the batter. His reasoning: he is a vegetarian and eating eggs goes against “his values”.

Not a bad Halloween, we have a bag and a half of fun sized candy and 2 boxes of full sized candy bars left. Had 112 kids come to the door and the neighborhood college kids even brought their girlfriends around (shoutout to the sexy nun).
