I will fiercely fight against this political corruption.

I spent a few hours this morning serving vulnerable siblings in our community. No sibling, no fellow Hoosier, no American should ever go hungry.

Standing on the Statehouse steps today, surrounded by thousands of Hoosiers, I felt what democracy is meant to be — people, not power.

We said No Kings because democracy has no throne — only neighbors willing to stand for one another.

Today, I joined Students Demand Action at the Statehouse as high school students across central Indiana walked out to demand action against gun violence. As someone who has lost a family member to gun violence, gun violence is not just a policy decision; it is personal.

“The most beautiful thing in life is to belong.”

I appreciate the @IndyStar for remembering the 20th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina and for sharing stories about survivors, including my journey from loss and despair into public service.

My bill SB 317 (Medical Debt Relief) fell just short this past session (23–26), but I secured a summer study committee and will reintroduce it in 2026.

Indiana’s health care system is broken — too many Hoosiers are crushed by medical debt while hospitals and collectors blame patients.

This isn’t about left vs. right. It’s about right vs. wrong. And gerrymandering is wrong.

Since 2021, I’ve fought to end partisan gerrymandering in Indiana.

Had a great time tonight connecting with neighbors in Senate District 30 during National Night Out! Events like these strengthen the bond between first responders and our communities—helping build trust, safety, and a stronger future for us all. #INForAll #NationalNightOut

Today, the State Budget Agency and Administration officials presented Indiana’s Fiscal Year 2025 closeout. While the numbers mathematically show a modest surplus for 2025-2027, the numbers don’t tell the real story.

🚨 The Big Betrayal Bill Passed 🚨

Congress just passed what’s being called the Big Beautiful Bill, but for millions of Americans and Hoosiers, it’s more like the Big Betrayal Bill.

This legislation would:
➡️ Slash $930 billion from Medicaid, Medicare and the ACA over the next decade

I'm proud to share that the Indiana General Assembly has selected medical debt as one of its official summer study topics, a critical issue I’ve been fighting to address on behalf of Hoosiers across our state.

🚨Important Update🚨

Due to logistical issues, the location for tomorrow’s Fridays with Fady has been changed from Batman Grill to Fire & Ice Café (6211 Allisonville Rd). I look forward to meeting with you to answer questions about the 2025 session & discuss your policy ideas for the 2026 session.

I fiercely oppose the proposed rate hike from AES Indiana, which would raise utility bills for families across Indianapolis by 13.5%

I have called on the IN Utility Regulatory Commission (IURC) to hold at least five public hearings so Hoosiers have the opportunity to voice their concerns directly.
June 20, 2025 at 8:13 PM
I spoke directly to the Secretary of State regarding: his misuse of public funds (buying a tax payers funded luxury car), absence from a key budget meeting, questionable international travel, granting no-bid contracts, & patterns of nepotism in hiring /bonuses to related employee.
June 19, 2025 at 7:02 PM
At today’s Medicaid Advisory Committee meeting, I expressed my support for increasing representation of self-advocates on the Beneficiary Advisory Council. Their lived experiences are critical to shaping better, more responsive health policy.

Another beautiful weekend canvassing in Senate Distrcit 30/Pike Township to update constituents about the outcomes of the 2025 legislative session & to learn more about their concerns and hopes for a better Indiana. Public service is my calling, & that’s why I will always place people over politics.

This afternoon, I kicked off my annual summer “Door to Door Community Conversations” in the Crooked Creek Neighborhood. I enjoyed meeting with residents to learn about issues that matter most to them. I firmly believe that elected officials work for their constituents, not the other way around.
