I recently attended the 5th Senate Social and launch of Model Senate, an initiative meant to engage more than 100 Canadian students and young people in our democracy. I met and spoke with many vibrant and intelligent young leaders.

This week my Senate colleagues and I had a productive visit to Edmonton. We met with Alberta MLAs to discuss issues affecting Black Albertans. We visited the Africa Centre for a tour and discussions and also explored the Alberta Machine Intelligence Institut (@amiithinks.bsky.social).
