Today, the Assembly passed SB6 with bipartisan support. This bill is the first step in correcting the historical injustice done to the Windsor Park community.

SB 8 is a bill which will allow employers to engage in wage theft in Nevada. Under this bill, your employer can require you to come in early or stay late from work for mandatory activities (like trainings and screenings) and NOT pay you!

An injury to one is an injury to all. This is the largest corporate handout in Nevada history and in future legislatures, we are either going to have to raise taxes or cut services to pay for it

This evening, the Assembly unanimously passed SB3, which will create the Silver State General Assistance Program. This will fund SNAP in the event of a shutdown or other disruptions on the federal level and ensure that thousands of Nevadans will never go hungry due to the cruelty of Trump again.

My response to the inappropriate comments made by Speaker Yeager as he bullied the largest corporate handout in Nevada history through committee tonight.

The Governor's crime bill is full of concessions for casino owners on the strip, but does almost nothing to protect the most vulnerable members of our community.

Special sessions are for emergencies. The largest corporate handout in Nevada history is not an emergency. Not when our constituents are struggling to afford food and housing and begging us to help them make ends meet.

This proposed tax giveaway "could functionally serve as a handout to already wealthy corporations and prevent the state from using its dollars on other programs."

Our communities are hurting. What they need is affordable housing, better schools, and food on the table. Not a handout for the rich.

The Trump administration is playing games with the food people need to feed their families and it has to stop.

I am incredibly proud that our community has been coming together to support our food banks, but let us be clear: We cannot crowdsource SNAP.

That's what's happened in Georgia — and it will almost certainly happen to you."

Last weekend, over 18,000 patriotic Nevadans gathered in Reno to demand justice. To demand an end to the silencing of dissent, the kidnapping of our citizens, and the dismantling of the rule of law in America. To demand a return to democracy.

We will stand together, we will push back, and we will ensure that no American will ever bow down to Trump or any other would-be king.
