"Maps have great power to change minds and create reality. How maps use that power depends on who makes the maps." The film documents how indigenous communities around the world are taking back control of mapping their own territories and using them in conservation and monitoring.
A film made by 6 Indigenous filmmakers from Asia, Latin America and Africa, ‘Mapping and Monitoring Indigenous Territories’, raises awareness towards the critical role of Indigenous and community-led biodiversity mapping and monitoring.
