The fact that Bezos’ WA Post published this makes me wonder whether Trump is throwing the alcoholic Hegseth under the bus as a prelude to getting rid of him. Or at a minimum Pete has some serious enemies (which is a good thing).

Witkoff has a law degree and made a fortune in real estate. I've seen idiots with PhDs, so I don't exclude the possibility that he's just dumb but works really hard, but it does seem he has to have a few functioning neurons to get where he is. How then is he so bad then with dealing with russia?

Mark Carney’s government has put forth a budget. If it is voted down by Parliament, his government falls and another election is held. What doesn’t happen is a government shutdown. Air traffic controllers are still paid. People get their benefits. The only losers are the politicians as it should be.
