SINNERS is now the biggest Hollywood original movie of any kind at the box office since 2017 when Pixar's COCO came out. To find a live-action movie that made at least $200M domestic, we have to go back much further. This is truly bananas.

@robmahoney.bsky.social shouldn’t Jabari be in over Jalen if he doesn’t have it going on offense? Jabari can spot up like he’s doing and guards way better

Sinners dropping just 6% in its second weekend merits a much bigger headline than its $48 million opening. It is actual box-office news--news as in "This never happens." Just a giant thing, for Ryan Coogler and for the future of original material.

#Sinners has now grossed $161M at the worldwide box office 💰

• Made $45M in its second domestic weekend — a 6% drop

• One of the smallest box office drops for a major film in modern history

• Could finish its run making over $300M

• Production budget was $90M

You were right (not that I didn’t believe you) it was a brutal episode.
People have told me Episode 7 of “Celtics City” brought them to tears. Wild to think July will make 32 years since Reggie passed away but it still hurts. He passed weeks before I turned 18. On the day of his funeral, the kids were so sad they closed Summer School to let them all go to it.

@dartadams.bsky.social I think this most recent episode of Celtics City was my favorite thus far. I was surprised none of the players spoke on Len Bias’ passing and how they felt. But they were open about everything else and it was very insightful.

@talkhoops.bsky.social you think anybody else watching Wolves-Heat today thought “Derrick Williams was a legend for both these teams” or just me?
