Shoutout to muos.dev, a free and open source firmware solution for handheld devices.

Getting one of these set up with the right emulators and software used to be really hard. MuOS makes it super simple to configure these devices for #retrogaming 👾🕹️🍄⭐

Late summer harvest: cucumbers, tomatoes, eggplant, peppers and ong choi, aka water spinach (Ipomoea aquatica).

Ong choi is considered an invasive species in parts of the US south and is even on the Federal Noxious Weed list.

It is also on my delicious Asian greens list. 🌱

Original arcade cabinets are hard to find nowadays. Most of the classic games in arcades are a PC running an emulator with an LED monitor.

The CRT on this Donkey Kong cabinet at Cidercade Austin is in remarkably good shape for its age! About 75-80k of these were made for the US market. #retrogaming

This was a huge advance in #retrogaming graphics. On the left is the C64 which has a fixed 16 color palette. On the right is IBM PC EGA which still only 16 colors but they can be chosen from a master palette of 64 colors. Every scene gets to have it's own unique 16 color palette.
