The fact that so many people casually see no problem with using a dead person's voice or likeness in some current or future project really underscores to me that a LOT of people fundamentally don't understand (or don't care) about the meaning of the word "consent."

since when did “gatekeeping” = protecting one’s culture from people who want to wear historically/culturally significant clothing “as a fashion statement”?? because last i checked that’s cultural appropriation, and gatekeeping is being used to gaslight people into thinking that this isn’t malicious

“Sewing your own clothes to avoid tariffs” seems like a good idea until you realize it’s very expensive, takes a ton of time, and just about every component — from fabric and thread to sewing machines — are made abroad. I do think this is a great time to learn how to mend clothes, though!
