If you're up early on 25th December, you could see Mercury rising in the southeast. The planet reaches greatest western elongation on Christmas Day and is currently visible just before sunrise. Look low to the southeast around 07:00 UT. The 28% lit Moon is also visible to the south. #Astronomy
