2 left! Really dragging myself to the finish line at this point. Tonight I combined the #catober #catober2025 prompts "surly" and "crust" from days 11 and 12.

4 left! I'm pretty tapped out by this point so just going with whatever comes to mind, vs trying to be funny every time. This time I mashed up 3 #inktober #inktober2025 prompts: murky, ragged, and puzzling.

5 nights left! Tonight I used the #botober #botober2025 prompt from the 23rd, "rub the bog". It sounded like something a group would chant, so I tried to come up with a context in which that "made sense".
A simple, hand-drawn comic strip in four rows. The first row shows a sunny scene in a bog or marsh with a wooden platform and stick figures standing on it, surrounded by tall grasses and water. The second row has two panels: Left panel: One stick figure, an adult, stands on the platform addressing a smaller stick figure, a child. Text reads: "Today, my son, you become a man." Right panel: The crowd of stick figures on the platform cheers. Text reads: "Rub the bog! Rub the bog!" The third row has two panels: Left panel: The child stick figure is face-down in the water and mud near the platform, with only their legs and torso visible. 6 left! I used the day 6 prompt from #spooktober #spooktober2025 "grief". We recently lost our 16-year-old cat JJ who we'd had since he was 2 months old. He spent the last several years w/treatable illnesses that required lots of meds. Today I finally was able to get rid of nearly all of them.

Silly drawing 23, 8 left! I decided to go "low concept" this time and keep it simple for the #catober #catober2025 prompt "steep".

Drawing 22, 9 left! Looking for a prompt that inspired me, I revisited "1/4 can cool soup" from day 10 of #botober #botober2025 I checked what other folks had drawn for it. I'd had largely the same idea as them. Then I found another way to parse the prompt.

Silly drawing! 3 wks done, 2/3rds through, 10 days left! Today's #inktober #inktober2025 prompt "cake" had me imagine SNL cast member Mikey Day if he hosts too many seasons of Netflix's show "Is It Cake?" where bakers make perfectly realistic cake facsimiles of all sorts of non-cake objects.

I wish someone would ask Trump every day in pressers about his social media AI videos, but the gag is that the reporter can't tell they are AI, so it's like "Sir, how are you feeling after all that explosive diarrhea from a fighter jet? Did they have to specially outfit the jet with toilet doors?"

19th night of drawing silly stuff in October, 2025! I confess I amused myself a lot with this idea for the #botober #botober2025 prompt for today: "grated pan".

Night 17, starting the second half of drawing every day in October 2025! Not much gas in the tank tonight so I hastily made this simple drawing for "Spooky Kitty", today's #drawlloween #drawlloween2025 prompt. I'll try to get back to making dumb jokes tomorrow.

Night 16 of silly drawings in October 2025! More than halfway through! I realized there was something I hadn't done yet this month, and tied that in to the #inktober #inktober2025 prompt for today, "blunder".

October 2025 silly drawings, night 14! I may be in a mid-month slump. This is what I came up with for today's #spooktober #spooktober2025 prompt "pits".

Silly drawings of October 2025! For night 13 I was inspired by the prompt "drink" from #inktober #inktober2025. This is a rare case where I actually spent way too _much_ time on this, especially considering I didn't really land the joke as well as I'd hoped.
Comic titled "DRINK." Three stick-figure friends are shown in a single narrative about a night of drinking. It begins with two friends pressuring the other to drink. The two friends chant "Drink! Drink!" a long time. Eventually they stop and look concerned that their friend is still drinking. One of them says "Um, dude..." The comic ends with the two friends screaming as the drinking friend's every orifice starts spraying out beer.
