The two sit beside a campfire while engaged in quiet discussion, stuck in a ravine as they accompany each other in Jayce's survival.

Viktor Arcane has been transformed into a fluffy brown tabby cat, similar in appearance to that of an oriental longhair. He's staring into their lab mirror in shock at what's happened to him! "He lamented for a moment that the realignment didn’t ease any of his pain as he slowly made his way to the mirror Jayce had insisted upon putting in the lab. He silently thanked his partner for his vanity before realizing he was looking at a cat. He shifted from side to side for a moment, eyes wide as he slowly processed what the hexcore had turned him into. He was turned into a cat. This could not be happening."

Is dying truly the abrupt, ruthless end for us all; or can life be found in places we’ve long left for dead? As a Spiritfarer, Viktor's duty is to ferry dying souls in the Spirit Realm through the Everdoor into the afterlife. While in search of passengers in a pandemic-ravaged Zaun, he stumbles upon an unconscious and injured stranger in a ravine. Juggling between taking care of his passengers and this stranger, Viktor’s efforts to help them kickstarts a series of events that unravels the truth of his own past, how he came to be a Spiritfarer, and uncovers painful memories that Viktor long buried deep. A Spiritfarer inspired AU.

This piece is more experimental since I was using CSP for the first time haha It mirrors Jayce and Viktor's final embrace in the astral plane/"Hexzone", bumping foreheads with the anomaly hanging over them, and bursts of light mimicking the appearance of butterfly wings appear from each of their backs. There's a faint drawing of younger Jayce and Viktor watching over them, meant to be reminiscent of the Act 1 scene where they create hextech <3
